Bought this air purifier as a gift for my mom, and it’s been really helpful. She has two Labradors and a cat, so managing pet hair and odors is always a challenge. This purifier noticeably improves the air quality in her home. Its filter does a great job capturing dust, dander, and fur. It adjusts automatically based on air quality. It runs quietly, so it doesn’t disturb sleep or daily activities. Overall, a very useful product for pet owners, and my mom absolutely loves it!

The TER Air MK-AP02 is a powerful air purifier suitable for large rooms, specially designed for pet owners. There seem to be some discrepancies between the numbers mentioned in the description. I have extensive experience with HEPA air purifiers, and the airflow this unit produces is indeed appropriate for large spaces. The first step after unpacking is to remove the protective wrap from the filter before use. The cover was taped at each corner to prevent damage during transport. This unit's cover is quite unique, especially in how it is removed. Most units require pulling from the top down, but here, you pull at the bottom and pivot upward. When closing, the hooks at the top must be aligned before pushing the lower part back until the plastic tabs securely lock. Another unique aspect of this cover is that it's not perforated; air enters from the sides instead of the front. This creates a vortex that prevents animal hair from clogging the intake, allowing hair to collect around the center of the filter, which requires periodic removal. This design helps maintain steadier airflow. Otherwise, this 3-stage air purifier is comparable to other popular units, featuring a washable prefilter that traps dust, dander, pet hair, and other large particles. The HEPA H13 filter in the second stage captures 99.97% of much smaller contaminants down to 0.3 microns. The third stage neutralizes odors and chemical contaminants with activated carbon. This purifier is ideal for users who prefer a hands-on approach, offering straightforward operation via its large touch control buttons on the top panel. I already have an air purifier in my bedroom, so I got this one for my living room. I have a dog, and it has helped a lot with pet hair and the smell that sometimes builds up during the day. After running it for a while, the room feels fresher and the air seems cleaner. It’s also quiet, which is nice because I usually keep it on while I’m relaxing or watching TV. So far it has been a really good addition to my living room, especially with a dog at home.

The air purifier comes with a new set of filters, a 24V@2A ETL certified power supply, and instruction manual. The main unit itself is also ETL certified. The unit supports a 2, 4, or 8 hour timer. An automatic mode that will activate based on air quality and 3 fan setting as well as an auto fan setting. The unit specifies a CADR of 300 meters cubed per hour, has an H13 HEPA, Activated carbon filter and a washable primary filter. It also has a PM2.5 Sensor for air quality measurements. I ordered this unit mainly for use with my 3D printer. While I do have pets in the house I'm not really bothered by dust, dander and various other smells and my air quality sensors are typically in a good range. My issue is my 3D printers are not contained and I don't have any ventilation in the room that they're used in. Mainly due to winter and the colder temperatures I can't ventilate the room. Most of the winter, the windows are also frozen shut and it's impractical to run permanent venting outside through the window. I also don't print too often so I wanted to try an air purifier as a solution. The room where the printers are located is roughly 12 feet by 8 feet or just under 22 cubic meters of volume and can be closed off from the rest of the house. I mostly print PLA and only occasionally PETG. The unit has an H13 HEPA filter which is adequate to capture the PLA particles and the carbon filter should be able to deal with any VOCs. The pre-filter is also useful since I have pets and it will trap larger particles and fur to give more life to the HEPA filter. The unit specifies a CADR of 300 meters cubed per hour. So the device should be able to filter the total volume of the room about 13 times each hour. Due to air flow it's assumed 4-6 exchange should be adequate to clean a room. So the unit should have been able to clean the air in the room about 30 minutes after a print completes. The PM2.5 Sensor won't be adequate to detect the particle sizes from PLA and PETG, so I simply turn the unit on with the timer during short prints or simply turn the unit on for 1 hour after a print completes. The unit is near the door so I only have to slightly open the door to turn it on and set the timer, then close the door again. I've used the unit a couple times with shorter prints and while I have no means to measure the air quality I can say that there is no smell at all when the unit is being used to clean the air in the room as compared to when the unit was not there. It even makes a noticeable difference in what I can smell, simply being on at full settings, while I'm in the room.
