8 months agoSo far very nice. TV is great picture, although some image light/ white areas can look artificially bright and jarring from cable box in dolby vision - in filmmaker mode as well. Previous lg didn't have this issue. 4k bluerays / streaming fantastic. Remote is simplified - almost too much. No input button or numbers. Cable routing to one side of panel can be a bit of a chore when wall mounting, as you must have any in-wall cable kits off- center as well for the zero clearance mount. If you plan on a wall mounted soundbar, then you'll need two separate cable kits, or go through studs. Power cord goes up and over, then down to match up with other cables. Not sure why it didn't just start over at same place - it could use more channel clips to hold it flush. Mount screw holes are right at the edge of studs - they have adjustment slots for left and right movement, but you will use the outside of them for 16". Wall anchors included are crap - not enough bite or spread - so I used others in conjuction with studs.

9 months agoFirst of all, this is an excellent entry-level OLED TV. It's razor thin, the image is flawless, and it's a great deal when on sale. I'd highly recommend getting one. Just not from Amazon. The 77" version of this television is huge, and it comes in an even bigger box. While relatively light for its size, it's still a big TV and it weighs a lot. It is awkward to manage and unpack. Obviously. That's why when purchasing this TV, you place confidence in the retailer that their delivery options are going to be honored. Who wants the hassle of carting a 6 foot box down the stairs or, even worse, having a $2,000+ TV set sitting idle on your doorstep? Not me, and neither should you. But Amazon seems to believe this is perfectly acceptable. Communicated delivery windows are completely ignored: Amazon gave me a 12 hour window for the unit to be delivered (how is that okay?!) and even still, didn't deliver it on the day they themselves scheduled. Room-of-choice? Nope. Just leave it on the doorstep and let anyone who can carry it away do so. Multiple attempts to contact Amazon to understand what happened have gone unanswered. Online "customer service" agents choose to disconnect the chat rather than find out what went wrong. There is zero accountability. Do not trust Amazon with oversized, expensive purchases. It is not worth whatever "deal" they may be hiding their horrible service behind.

10 months agoI love it. I use this 42" TV as a monitor. I've had it for almost 2 months now and writing this review. Let's talk about the build quality. I have this suspended above my desk on a monitor mount. The TV is light weight and I didn't cheap out on the monitor arm knowing that the monitor arm needs to hold up this tv. There are many different modes for this tv and to ensure longevity on the tv you don't want to be turning up the brightness for long periods of time. Keep everything in moderation. Note that the tv comes with a transparent film and on one of the corners there is a tab you can gently peel to remove it. If you don't remove it, you cause the TV to heat up quicker and will not last as long. The TV needs the space to dissipate the heat. Let's talk about the picture quality. Using this as a monitor, you're able to play games, and make sure you have this in game optimizer mode with a good GPU that can support a stable 144 FPS because the screen can support 144hz refresh rate. Colors are awesome for gaming, barely notice ghosting when playing face pace/ fast motion games because each pixel is its own zone unlike other panel technology. In game optimizer mode you have the setting to turn down the brightness to level 1 or 2 mode and the latter being less bright. While watching videos, the TV can detect when HDR content is played (make sure your PC and TV is configured properly for this). I have HDR content and wow, HDR content looks really good. The sound quality isn't bad but compared the the larger TVs, the larger TVs sound a lot better.

1 year agoI'm very impressed with the C5 65" model. Only minor settings adjustments needed for optimal picture quality. The brightness is on par or beyond for the type of panel I believe. Also, the speakers produce good quality sound, as for tv speakers go. I've found them to be clear with good punch. Mind you this is my opinion regarding onboard television speakers all around, as most lack greatly... the magic remote feature is ok once you get a hang of it. And the AI voice assist is pretty accurate from my perspective. All included, you won't go wrong with this tv! Also, the tv arrived in perfect condition. Not a mark on the box and the tv was perfect inside, as well, the foam inserts were intact.
